Espresso coffee machine
STRATEGY
Research to design a home pressurized coffee maker for one of Europe's leading manufacturers. The product was supposed to embrace the newly formed niche system of the type introduced by DeLonghi / Krups Nespresso, Tassimo Bosch, etc. The key to success lay in an attractive, emotional design, making it distinctive from the other kitchen appliances: in this case a loop made of termo-chromatic material (which would change color depending on the temperature and pressure) in the shape of a heart, containing pressurized steam. Another proposal was the Kyrkafe espresso described separately. The project was deemed too extravagant and technically demanding and eventually did not go into production.
