Stage design for the jubilee concerts of Bogusław Schaeffer at the Polish Theatre in Warsaw and the Old Theatre in Krakow.

STRATEGY

A drawn by hand, frame by frame, black and white animation about four thousand frames in length; displayed in the background during the gala concert to celebrate the eightieth birthday of Bogusław Schaeffer. The narrative itself is a journey through the night, memories and associations arising before the viewer’s eyes. Four episodes: an unlucky spider, trivial love, married with a nice episode, bestial death. All movie frames were completed in one month in Italy, as the screenshots from one computer in Adobe Photoshop. The theater, at times was filled with unseemly laughter, while at times it was throttled by total silence.
